General Notes for John Frazier
John was rejected for service in the Civil war because of hemorrhoids. Years later cancer of the bowel was the cause of his death. He is buried in the Frazier cemetery. On display at the Harrison county Historical village, which is located on land adjoining the John Frazier farm is the neck yoke which linked the ox yoke to the covered wagon which transported the John Fraziers to Iowa along with a horse hoe which he used to work the land.
