General Notes for Mildred M Niziolek | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Mildred M. Niziolek died Sunday April 15, 2012 at St. Clare's Hospital, Weston at age 95. She was born, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Salzman) Heil on February 20, 1917, in the town of Emmet. She married Frank Niziolek at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wausau on November 16, 1937. He preceded her in death on June 11, 1996. Mildred was a homemaker and a seamstress producing countless items for her family and others. She always had her crocheting or knitting with her as her hands needed to remain busy at all times. Many of those items were sold at the Talent Shop or donated to her church for fund raisers. Mildred was proud of her flower garden and enjoyed spending time working in it. In later years when she moved to Island Place and later to Renaissance Assisted Living she played games and never missed Bingo. She was very social and could never be found in her apartment. Survivors include her children, Martha (Conrad) Wipfli, Wausau, Ronald (Carol) Niziolek, Elk River, Minnesota, Clarence (Julie) Niziolek, Rothschild, Gary (Valerie) Niziolek, Marshfield and Thomas (Linda) Niziolek, Kronenwetter, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one brother, Matthew (Dolores) Heil, Weston and three sisters, Laura (Michael) Gau, Wausau, Alvina Wanner, California and Florence Roberts, Idaho and two sisters-in-law, Violet Heil, Green Bay and Marcella Heil, Wausau. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Jerome Niziolek and one granddaughter Shannon Niziolek, two brothers, Edwin and Raymond and one sister Irene Schuster. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Thursday April 19, 2012 at The Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. The Rev. Daniel Rybicki will preside. Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
