The following is from Frazier Family History by Irvin Frazier, published by the author in 1974:

"The name Frazier appears to have originated in the South of France, in the year 916 A.D. Apparently it was applied to one of our earliest ancestors, whose name formerly had been Berry, by King Charles of France, as a take-off on the French word for strawberry. This ancestor served the King some strawberries out of season, and in turn was given his new name by the King, that of FRAISE, the French word for strawberry. He chose to retain this name from that time forward, and many years later the representation of three stalks of strawberries were used in the Frazier arms and became a part of the Frazier crest.
This story is recounted in some detail in the earliest book found on the Fraziers:
"CHRONICLES OF THE FRASERS, THE WARDLAW MANUSCRIPT."
This original manuscript was prepared in 1666 by Master James Fraser, Minister of the Parish of Wardlaw (now Kirkhill ) , Inverness, Scotland. It traces the genealogy of the Frasers from 916 thru 1674. In 1905 the manuscript was made available to the public by being published in Edinburgh as Vol. XLVII of Publications of the Scottish History Society , printed at the University Press."
I.F. citing the same book, declares that "many of the Frasers of France came from Normandy across the English Channel to England and Scotland with William the Conqueror in 1066 A.D."

There is no documented proof of George Thomas Frazier's linage. Just a lot of conjecture and speculation, such as the use of family names, incidences of time periods, locations, etc.. The most significant being the fact George Thomas came to America in 1747, the same years Simon of Lovat was beheaded.
According to Goodspeed's " History of Northwest Arkansas" , page 1316, clearly states George Frazier served in the Revolutionary War, however, DAR, SAR, and Nation Archives claim to have no records for him.
Also, Elizabeth and Zelka Frazier in their book "The Heritage and Legacy of Francis Frazier II - A Blacksmith" , page 12, states "Clifford Frazier, an Attorney in Greensboro , N.C., claim most of the American Fraziers are descendants of Clan Fraser of Lovat.
"The best information available comes from Ann M. Frazier Way, the great-granddaughter of Thomas Frazier. June 9 , 1904, at age 86, Ann recorded her great-grandfather's name as George, a native of Scotland, whose wife, Mary was a native of Wales." (Also quotes from Elizabeth and Zelda's book.)
